1. Use of the App

Vigil is a personal cash flow projection tool designed to help you understand your finances. The App provides estimates and projections based on data you enter. These projections are for informational purposes only and do not constitute financial advice. You are solely responsible for all financial decisions you make.

2. Accounts

You must create an account to use Vigil. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You may not use another person's account.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Vigil offers auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple's App Store. New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.

4. Bank Account Linking (Plaid)

You may optionally link your bank accounts using Plaid Technologies, Inc. By doing so, you agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy. Vigil uses your linked account data only to display your balance and improve cash flow projections. We do not store your banking credentials.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all data you enter into Vigil. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely to provide the service. We do not sell your personal data.

6. Prohibited Conduct

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks
• Transmit any harmful, fraudulent, or misleading content

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that projections will be accurate. Vigil is not a licensed financial advisor and does not provide financial, tax, or legal advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vigil and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the applicable courts of the United States.
